General Guidelines

  • Avoid Harsh Chemicals:Do not use abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals. These can damage the finish and are unnecessary for regular cleaning.
  • Use Mild Soap and Water:For most finishes, clean with mild soap and water. A pH-balanced liquid dish soap, such as Dawn, diluted in warm water is ideal.
  • Dry Fixtures After Use:Especially in hard water areas, drying your fixtures with a microfiber cloth after each use helps prevent mineral deposits and keeps them looking pristine.
  • Microfiber Cloths:Use microfiber cloths for cleaning. They effectively clean without scratching the surface.

Finish-Specific Care

Matte Black Finish

DO:

  • Clean Regularly:Use mild soap and water. Rinse with clear water and dry with a microfiber cloth.
  • Use a Microfiber Cloth:This prevents scratching and maintains the matte finish.
  • Dry Fixtures:Prevent mineral deposits by drying after each use.
  • Clean the Aerator:Regularly remove and clean the aerator to prevent build-up. Rinse under cold water and use a gentle brush. Soak in a 50-50 water/vinegar solution for stubborn deposits.

Cartridges and Aerators Care

Cartridges:

DO:

  • Regular Inspection:Check cartridges periodically for any signs of wear or leaks. Replacing cartridges as needed will ensure optimal performance.
  • Clean Gently:If a cartridge needs cleaning, use a soft brush and mild soap solution. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
  • Flush System:Periodically flush the faucet to remove any debris that might affect the cartridge's performance.

DO NOT:

  • Avoid Harsh Chemicals:Do not use abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals, as they can damage the cartridge.

Aerators:

DO:

  • Inspect for Damage:Check aerators periodically for any signs of damage or wear and replace them if necessary.
  • Reinstall Properly:After cleaning, ensure the aerator is properly reinstalled to prevent leaks and maintain proper water flow.

DO NOT:

  • Avoid Harsh Scrubbing:Do not use abrasive brushes or scouring pads, as they can damage the aerator.
  • Do Not Over-tighten:Avoid over-tightening the aerator during reinstallation, which can lead to damage or leaks.

Additional Tips

  • Jewelry and Scratches:Be cautious with rings, watches, or other jewelry that can scratch the finish. Even though our finishes are durable, repeated contact with hard objects can cause scratches.
